Last week, after the Stark crash, I emailed my senators and representative, asking them just when were they going to do something ... wasn't one Joe Stark enough?

This is the response I got from Brown ..

Quote:
Dear Ms. XXXXX:

Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts on government performance. I understand your frustrations with partisanship and Congress in general.

I am working with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in the Senate on bipartisan solutions that I hope will address the issues facing Americans. From improving Social Security and Medicare, to ending our dependence on foreign oil, to creating economic opportunities that will help build a strong and prosperous middle class, my priorities lie with the people I represent in the Senate. I am also working to create institutional procedures and craft legislation that reflects sound policy instead of partisan politics and special-interest lobbying.

If you have any further thoughts on this, I would appreciate hearing them. Thank you again for contacting me.

Sincerely,

Sherrod Brown
United States Senator
Why do I feel all of these guys are just putting everybody off? It's almost like they're just biding their time until ... hmmm ... I don't know what.

**** this.

I have letters from him as well that leave me with the same feeling. Congresswoman Kilroy sent me a letter that had nothing to even to do with my complaint once. I emailed Senator Voinovich and Senator Brown to let them know I could not support either one of them after the vote on Bernanke. I never received anything back from either one of them after those emails. It sure does feel like we are swimming upstream against these *******s. We are sick of Columbus and are going to try to sell the house this spring. Hopefully the illusion of a housing recovery will help us get lucky. I am sick of paying Columbus taxes plus they have now raised the payroll tax. They can't even get the sidestreets plowed from the snow in the past month. Feeding the chickens is sounding pretty good :))).

Jean Schmidt, Voinovich, and Brown have stopped responding to me. I think they put me on ignore.

Talk about speaking to soon. I received a letter from Senator Voinovich's office today explaining his position on Bernanke. I really hammered him in my last email so I am real surprised I received a letter. I called his office and told them thanks for acknowledging me after giving the senator heavy criticism. I am sure they are probably full of it but I was pretty stunned he sent me anything after the email. He basically sounds like he really believes Bernanke saved the economy. He believes he did everything for the benefit of country first. Obviously, that is not the opinion many of us share around here but he gave me his reasons.

Maybe the fact that Joe Stack crashed into the IRS threw them off from this Stark character?

I used to really like Voinovich. He was one of my favorite politicians. I grew up in the Cleveland area when he was mayor of Cleveland. He was a deficit hawk his whole career. I thought he was a pretty good governor as well but now I am totally against him and cannot wait for him to retire. It just doesn't seem like there are many politicians anymore that I feel like can relate to my family but I guess that is the case fo most of us on TF. It just bums me out that a politician that I used to respect has dissapointed me so much.
