Psgirl, I'd feel kind of weird about doing that. Especially since I'm not a coffee drinker-lol! I have a couple other "sources" but I've not really used them lately. Its just easier to buy them on ebay.

Though I have to tell you once, I went down to the Daily Press and purchased 22 papers a couple years ago. It was a Thursday & Farm Fresh had a $10/10 item coupon printed on the back of the A section. I don't even remember what I used them for...whatever it was, it was free...the cost of the papers? $5.50; the savings? $220 It was a good day:-) I think it was either Heinz or Conagra products.

F#%k it.

I dropped a buck-twenty-nine on 20 5 buck coupons:

20 Kohls $5 off Kohl's Coupons save $100 Exp 04/03 4/3
- Price: US $1.29

The dude's got like 5000 feedbacks and a 99.7% rating. I figure if they don't work... oh well.

Mezz, I've only been burned once...

My advice, find someone local if you want the coupons faster. But sometimes its better to get coupons from across the country. For example, several years ago, there were coupons .50/1 electrasol in most areas; but for some reason, in Cali they were $2/1. Sellers were charging a pretty penny & I refused to buy them (like .25 each). So I waited until about a week before they were supposed to expire; prices came down. I got 40 coupons for about $5. I went to Walmart & got the 12 pack electrasol tablets for $1.84 a box. And I got overage (at one of the walmarts; the cashier at the other was a bitch). So I didn't have to buy dishwasher detergent for about 2 years.

Check feedback carefully. Check shipping costs carefully. Pay attention to the fine print of the coupon. Pay quickly.

If you want to bypass ebay. Glenda at taylortownpreview.com has been selling them for years. I've never heard anything negative & my experiences have always been good with her.

Here's some of the people I've recently purchased from on ebay:

b86fiero
dougadown
lorihas3kids
chacha0322
blackhawk-pilots-wife

My mom and her sisters been playing this game for years. Guess that happens when you grow up poor as dirt. Only problem is sometimes you go overboard and end up with 12 bounty 8 packs or so much toilet paper it's coming out your ears.

When I used to travel all over the country I would get the Sunday paper for the coupons because many are much better (and different) than the ones found locally.

LOL! J6p! Lets see...I once ended up with over 100 rolls of Viva for free; and 50 6pk doubles of cottonelle. I just recently started purchasing tp again this year...still waiting for a killer deal. I haven't purchased papertowels in 3 years. If it doesn't expire & its a product you will use, then there is no such thing as going overboard:-)

God, I remember the Kmart Duracell battery deal of 2005...good times:-)

j6p, something you wrote just caught my eye. When I visited couponing boards, we did a poll once. It was very interesting that the more education and higher income people were more avid couponers. You wouldn't believe the number of people who responded to the polls with incomes over 80k. The biggest group was (if my memory is correct) from $50k-$80k. The lowest number of couponers were the poor (under $30k).

Okay, I have to brag about the kmart battery deal. It was my first couponing experience. I wasn't even on a coupon board. I was on a frugal moms board & someone posted the deal. It seems that Kmart had Duracell batteries on sale BOGO. Next to the batteries was a coupon BOGO. Their registers were set up such that if you purchased 2 packs & used one coupon, the purchase would be free. I ignored the thread because "I don't coupon". Finally, I was bored & went ahead & read it. I figured, what the heck. It was already Saturday evening, the stores would close at 9pm & the coupons were probably already gone anyway...but I went out to a rundown smaller kmart near my house. I couldn't believe it...they had the coupons & tons of batteries. I was very couponing shy, so I only got $65 worth of free batteries. If I found that deal today, I would have used every coupon I could put my hands on-lol! I still kick myself for leaving the coupons (the deal and the coupon expired that night, so it wasn't like I would be taking the deal from someone else).

I'm in Virginia & I heard about this deal from people in Texas and Arkansas and Utah. Finally, the internet was good for something-lol!

Anyway, I was hooked!

I zipped to the Kohl's store and bought socks. The coupons work... I paid 60 cents for 4 pairs.

Yup... the guy sent 20 coupons in Adobe format. He sent immediately, I printed one out and bolted out the door to Kohls... which is nearby.

I have several Kohls within 5 miles so I'll be hitting them all tomorrow.

I didn't have time to look around... so I bolted to the sock aisle and picked up a 4 pack of socks on sale for 5.60 (I only gave 64 cents)

****in' A Yo! (pardon my French)

Here's the coupon I used:

Boy if you can drop food costs for a fam from $650 to $150, that is some serious cheese. Or at least some serious cheese food.

Can we pin this thread? I've never really used coupons before but I'm gonna make my future wife do it since she's not going to be working anyway.

This reminds me of the days I used to sell tokens at the Little Ceaser Pizza Time Theater back in the '80's... my friend's older brother worked there and mysteriously had a bucket full of tokens... used to hover by the vending machine offering to sell tokens for 5 for a buck instead of 4 for a buck (going rate).

Me and my buddy would walk out with wads of cash after playing video games all afternoon.

/yup, my mispent youth smiley
