Capital comes from the Latin word for head. It therefor makes sense that the start, or head of a sentence would be capitalized. It also makes sense that proper words and names would be capitalized to show their significance. But what about your name in all capital letters?

That one dates back to Roman law were the spelling of your name was used to designate your status. Were you a free citizen, a non-citizen or a slave/prisoner? It's all in a name.

Capitis Dominutio Maxima

From Black's Law dictionary fourth edition

"The highest or most comprehensive loss of status. This occurred when a man's condition was changed from one of freedom to one of bondage, when he became a slave. It swept away with it all rights of citizenship and all family rights."

Now go and look at your driver's license or birth certificate or any correspondence from .gov and even from business.

All Caps version is the 'straw man'; the legal entity that represents you and is under the jurisdiction of the Uniform Commercial Code.

Don't worry about it British, the government is secretly under the control of sovereign citizens with military support. All is well.

Slave.

I can't find the link at the moment, but I think these definitions -- Capitis Diminutio Maxima/Media/Minima -- can be found in the fourth edition of Black's Law Dictionary.

They can't be found in newer versions for some reason.

Sorry I have a life away from TF...

All caps is the maximum form of restriction and is how the Romans used to spell the names of it's slaves and prisoners.

And FYI, this is in response to another thread. The question came up about the significance of all caps names. I didn't want to hijack a thread in the mortgage fraud section.

Listen I really was not trying to be sarcastic , its just frustrating that we had a 20 page thread and a lotta research being done and finding out that its worthless. AS in anything unless a tipping point is reached within the masses the knowledge , the validity of it, means nothing .

This is based on the "person" argument that .gov owns your person but not the man. Problem is most people don't know the difference and the man responds as the "person".

It sounds like tin to me but a lot of tin is becoming reality these days... So I generally refute the spelling of my name in all caps but don't make a big deal about it. Anything not refuted is accepted as true and factual...

Also there were a couple video's posted recently of the judges abandoning courts and dismissals being issued in common law. If you notice the man in the video brings his birth certificate and presents that as ALL CAPS PERSON.

There was a group that was supposed to be retaking control of the government using advanced concepts of this and it so far has turned out to be a fat stinky nothing burger...

So should I address myself in all lowercase and speak of the entity in the contract in all uppercase? If they ignore it because of that, then send all uppercase if they ever contact me again?

Capitis Diminutio Maxima is just a legal term in Roman Law that refers to one's status. In Ancient Roman times it didn't have anything to do with how one's name was written.

The idea is that "capital" is derived from the Latin word Capite (by the head), so capital letters with diminutio maxima refer to a maximum loss of status.
