I've actually done the full step 2 on it and came out a "logical" ENFP...just ....barely over the threshold on F vs. T, but a clear F. Off the scale on N and E though.

I'd bet large $$ that KD is an ENTJ.

According to Wikipedia S-type personalities make up 54-82% of the population yet here on Tickerforum it's just 2%.

That's because most S types don't bother with polls about their personality types..lol

The S vs. N is a real source of friction between people... we just don't understand how the other thinks.

Lots of INTJs and Masterminds on TF. It is pretty funny (but understandable) since it is actually one of the rarer personality types.

This actually explains a lot to me after looking over this a lot last night. Thanks for posting this topic again, Abnormal. I ignored the first threads on this and didn't read them.

I'm only 1 point away from being an INFJ, which is the rarest of the types according to the numbers Abn posted. But I'm an INTJ, which is the second rarest. I think the F/T calculation is pretty accurate, because I probably equally use my values system and logic to make decisions. Now I better understand why it seems like I'm an alien from another planet whenever I open my mouth around other people in public. I'm not a freak, LOL, there just aren't many other people like me.

Yep, I meant "in general" and thought about qualifying it, but I didn't. ;-) I've wondered many times why I am strongly drawn to reading the info here first, more than anywhere else. I could never really come up with a good explanation for it besides something simplistic like, "Um, I like it".

That poll is interesting. There are four types that are ES and nobody on TF has claimed to be an ES.

Wouldn't ES be the "airhead" personalities?

I also find it fascinating that we are so similar here on TF...with those exceptions, of course. (me-INFP)
And so many of the lurkers/rare posters would also show up in the INTP/INTJ, and maybe INFP/J?
Nice to know why I feel much as many of your do about things, while I cannpt connect about those issues with anyone outside.

I have always related better to men than women. No doubt it is because INTJ is a 'male' type personality.

I suppose the next poll question could ask how many of the INTJs are single. If people look for partners with similar personalities that gives male INTJ a factor of five disadvantage.

We share a lot of the same principles, but have quite different personalities. Hm....

So, are you most compatible with the same type of the other gender? Or,are you supposed to avoid your own type like the plague. I can imagine a get together full of introverts to be a real downer, like a school dance where the ladies are sitting in side and the dudes sitting on the other for the whole night.

I'd like to get my husband to take the test. We have a lot of similarities but he is much more impulsive than I am. He also thrives in the midst of chaos. He is always getting wild and crazy and loud with the kids and I have to go back to my quiet den to recover. :)

I'm 37 and I've taken the Myers-Briggs test dozens of times since I was 18. I've always scored an INTJ. I don't think I've ever been in the presence of so many INTJs before.

What has changed for me are strengths of preference. I've noticed that since 9/11/2001, my J strength of preference has greatly increased. Is that due to getting older or is it a reflection of my personal reaction to the events of our time? My I is the other one that changes from time to time. Right now it's at 78% but it's often been much more moderately expressed.

It scares me to be 100 T, I don't know how unusual that is. Anyways, I agree with Tickerfourm alot with independent thought and ideas. I read this site alot and agree with what is usually the majority of the time. Anyways TY tickerforum
