I applied ignore for the first time. His tripe is more than I can stand.

I had Photoguy on ignore for a while - but he went thru a period of posting topics from ZeroHedge and then putting his slant on it - so, took him off ignore for a while, read other posters and skipped over his posts.

Then, I said to hell with it, and put him back on ignore - then, damned if I didn't even message Karl that a thread wasn't loading correctly - it was because I had the OP on ignore -

so, took him back off ignore.

If he keeps his **** in the bar, I don't care what he does. But I do consider him to be quite disruptive of the forum. It's like the "photoguy bully pulpit" forum when he is on a roll.

I'll admit that I put him on ignore a few weeks back. I can handle him in small doses, but the doses got larger than I could take.

Lizardqueen, you should really take him off of ignore for a bit. Those of us that HE has ignored (we're up to 7 now) are having great fun on his threads. Every so often he'll see that he has unread on his thread, but can't see our comments, so he'll blather out some bitter rebuke - kinda like the old lady next door who keeps coming out in her nightgown to yell at the imaginary people in her yard .

How do you know he put you on ignore? That sounds like great sport!

Nomullet, he makes it clear in no uncertain terms - your doom is usually preceded by a pronouncement such as "welcome to the Photoguy Cornfield, prepare to be plowed under", or, "prepare for your iggy percentage to increase".

It's like he just discovered how to put people on ignore.

I'm trying to keep track of his body count. So far it is:

2/4: 4
2/7: 2
2/8: 1

I figure after another week or two I'll have a satisfactory run rate of ignores to begin applying regression analysis and see how this is trending.

Totally agree.

Kinda sad to see the really excellent traders that have been banned - and then see photoguy all over the forum.

Karl has him on ignore- so he either doesn't realize or doesn't care that the pollution level of the forum is so high.

Those who cannot follow the rules lose their posting access to those areas. Those who respond to such a restriction or warning by spamming the userbase or refusing to obey the rules after repeated warnings lose their accounts. I simply do not give a **** who someone is in this regard, or whether they're good traders, poor traders, or non-traders. The rules apply to all and I will not make exceptions.

If Photoguy was to start spamming CONTRIB threads he'd be out of here in about 15 seconds. He hasn't done it - he remains in The Bar where his content is permissible. So long as he does he can continue to post there.

I will also remind everyone that the incessant bullish chest-beating, all of which is against the rules in either direction, LITERALLY top-ticked the market last year - virtually to the day I tossed the people responsible for it.

Attempting to foment a revolution on bans and trying to argue for "special privileges" was responsible for at least one of those people leaving.

It will happen again if the behavior repeats.

"1hour PhotoGuy"... forum or thread title... make it happen.
