Some units of the Libyan army sent by the authorities of Tripoli to crush the revolt in Bengasi would have sided with the demonstrators.
The soldiers entered the city yesterday, because local police had sympathized with the demonstrators.

Obama is busy putting toner cartridges into Ben's printer, and Ben slaps him on the ass every time he finishes. Good Obama, just keep doing what we banksters tell you to do and don't watch CNN.

Obama is causing this to happen.

LIBYAN EXILE GROUPS CLAIM PROTESTERS CONTROL BEIDA

(AGI) Geneva - Libyan anti-government protesters, aided by policemen who have deserted, have overpowered Libyan security forces and taken control of Beida, in Cirenaica, the country's third most important city. The news of the city's take over was put out by two exiled opposition groups in Geneva. "Beida is in the hands of the people," said Giumma el-Omami of Libyan Human Rights Solidarity. . .

I'm encouraged by this and the action we just saw in Egypt. Me might look back on these in history as the start of a broad movement towards more personal freedom and less government control worldwide. I think this has a shot at spreading to places like Iran, Saudi, North Korea, China and others. If this turns into a global movement, we could literly be looking at the reshaping of the world over the next few decades.

Libya makes it's move against protestors.

A funeral march by an estimated 50,000 mourners in Benghazi was set upon by hired henchmen, many wearing yellow construction hats.

Caller to AJE 'Ahmed' says the hospital is 'loaded' with the dead. The situation described on Twitter:

Drench - Thanks for that youtube post as always.

I didn't hear Ackmed ask for Obama but its not like the individual was easy to understand either because of the quality.

I'm not getting a clear understanding of what people are feeling in this thread because of the various humor (quite funny I might add). So if anybody is willing to chime in?

Do you feel that we have any responsibility whatsoever to intercede in Libya's affairs? Or Bahrains, or Yemen's or any frickin country? By sending the Hillary bag over there or any other diplomatic "missions".

I don't mean stop printing either, I mean an active role like sending them money, food assistance, medical teams, supplies, blah, blah, blah.

I am not interested in being a source of evil in the world. When the federal government taxes me and uses the money to prop up evil dictators, I have a problem with that. Especially when the government lies to me about how it's spending my money. The federal government says it promotes human rights throughout the world. I am increasingly confused about how it might be doing that. It seems rather to be doing the opposite.

Guy, personally I'm happy to see the revolts and don't think that the US has any place to intercede. Let the chips fall where they may.
If Egypt decides that they want some of the Muslim Brotherhood in power, so be it. My personal take is that the Muslim Brotherhood has been very much maligned in western press. We supported a dictator who brutally used secret police on the population of Egypt - we've forfeited any involvement in the formation of their new government.

Oh ****. Throw money at them that we don't have. Whichever tyrant emerges from the rubble, you can bet that the US will support them as long as they don't have Muslim Brotherhood ties. I was shocked that the entire world MSM didn't point out that the appointed VP, Suleiman, headed the much dreaded secret police who tortured and killed large numbers of Egyptians. It reminded me of our support of the Shah of Iran and our current support for several middle eastern dictators.

Expy, it's the Egyptians' choice. Not ours.
There are a lot of things that people blame the MB for; I'll add this to the list. Show me something in MB literature that states such and I'll believe you. Show me a third party pinning it on the MB and I'll simply consider it another one of the many smear jobs that have been going on.
It reminds me of all of the mischaracterizations of the Tea Party out there.

Almost exactly my sentiments. How about that?

Expy - If they want Muslim brotherhood, that's THEIR business. Its your job to keep it OUT of the US which we are failing to do (certainly not due to my efforts I might add). You do that by protesting these titanic immigration quotas that we have of 1 million a year.

It's their choice and it's MY choice not to want the MB in power.

Torn on this issue. Like the points stated. Don't want MB, either, but that's their choice. Our meddling in the Middle East has accomplished nothing in the last 40+ years, and even supported dictators in power. Short of dropping nukes and making a glass parking lot out of the entire place, we can't do **** about what the people there want, Expy.

I don't care about the MB one way or the other.
What I do know from my previous job is that MB was not on the US radar screen with respect to terrorist organizations prior to my retirement last fall. So any US official tying them to terrorism is full of ****. The office that I worked in tracked terrorist organizations in the Middle East and I knew of many different terrorist organizations; most of which never make the news. I never even heard of the MB until the Egyptian protests.
You believe the MSM propaganda or not; doesn't matter to me.
