The Spice Must Flow. House Harkonnen will secure the spice and crush any resistance through the application of the Emperor's Sardaukar.

Did the house of saud get a "heads up" here? That seems to be substantial resources to go out of their country.

The sauds are fine with a few day rages when you can have region takeover.
Still can't figure out what deal that Iran made to keep their nose out of it.

Technically from graph indicator (yet unknown). massive consolidation and accumulation present. Use full support to break thru resistence.

Spank, that's probably why the Saud military rolled into Bahrain. No one's watching.
I don't follow Saudi dissident websites but my hunch is that they're a lot more quiet, as I'd guess that the Saudi secret police have a lot of detainees. That freed up the Saudi military to go into Bahrain.

So we can expect the Administration to condemn the suppression of free speech and the right to assemble like we did for Egypt and Libya right? Also, I'm sure we will condemn Saudi Arabia for contributing to the same thing by sending in forces against the people of Bahrain? /sarc

Been thinking the same since Lynch's movie "Dune" was on TV a few weeks ago.

So....does this mean Hillary Clinton is a Bene Gesserit?

" Sometimes called "witches" due to their secretive nature and misunderstood powers, the Bene Gesserit are loyal only to themselves. However, to attain their goals and avoid outside interference, they often screen themselves with the illusion of being loyal to other groups or individuals. Their every move is calculated toward an end result."

Two killed in Bahrain violence despite martial law

A doctor said hundreds had been injured and ambulances seized by troops
Continue reading the main story

At least two people have been killed and as many as 200 injured in clashes between anti-government demonstrators and security forces in Bahrain.

A doctor told the BBC he was treating many people with head and gunshot wounds, and that soldiers and police were using ambulances to attack people.

The violence came as the government announced a state of emergency and called in Saudi troops to keep order.

A democracy can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on,the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy

Isn't this more of the Sunni (Arabs) vs. Shia (mostly Persians)? Really nothing new here.

The Shi'a in Bahrain (and Iraq, Syria and Lebanon) are Arabs. Iran is the world's only officially Shi'a state, but not all Shi'a are Iranian by any means.

Rar, thanks. I get that, but aren't the Saudis going in there to thwart what they believe is an Iranian led revolt against the Bahrainian monarchy?

The Iranians may or may not be involved in the unrest, but they are a convenient bogeyman for the existing regime and its Saudi allies - rather like the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The Shi'a - who may amount to 60-70% of the population - are subject to systematic discrimination, and understandably don't like it.

Iran recalls ambassador from Bahrain -reports
TEHRAN, March 16 (Reuters) - Iran has recalled its
ambassador from Bahrain in protest against the killing of
Shi'ite Muslim demonstrators in the island state, the
semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Wednesday.
State TV said the ambassador had been recalled for
consultations, in what would appear to be a tit-for-tat move
after Bahrain which withdrew its ambassador from Tehran for
consultations on Tuesday to protest at Tehran's criticisms.
Iran, the main Shi'ite power in the Gulf, has condemned the
crackdown by Bahrain's Saudi-backed Sunni royal family against
protesters from its Shi'ite majority, saying it could lead to
regional instability.

Bahrain unrest: King Hamad says foreign plot foiled
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-e....
Quote:
King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa thanked troops from nearby countries, mostly Saudi Arabian, who were brought in last week to put down the unrest.

He did not give any details of who was behind the alleged plot.

But in recent days Bahrain's Sunni leadership has accused Iran of interfering in its affairs.

Amid rising tensions, the two countries have engaged in tit-for-tat diplomatic expulsions - both recalling their ambassadors last week, and each expelling another diplomat on Sunday.

Iran, which has a Shia majority, has condemned Bahrain for the deaths of Shia protesters in the pro-democracy demonstrations.

"An external plot has been fomented for 20 to 30 years for the ground to be ripe for subversive designs. I here announce the failure of the fomented subversive plot," King Hamad said, according to a report by the state Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
