My original email:
I recently saw this link from the Tampa Housing Authority for AccessALL Tampa.

Public Housing in Tamps is going to get free computers and broadband access. Can you show me where in the Bill of Rights that people can get this level of wellfare?

It is to the point that the only suckers in this country are the ones who responsibly get up early every morning and report to work.

Response:

Dear Mr. Hughes:

Thank you for contacting Governor Rick Scott. The Governor appreciates your concerns about public housing amenities and asked me to respond on his behalf.

Governor Scott wants to know how people feel about the many critical issues we face. Your input is important to him. Because this is a federal issue, your best source of assistance is your congressional delegation. You can contact Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio at the following addresses:

The Honorable Bill Nelson
Landmark Center Two
225 East Robinson Street, Suite 410
Orlando, Florida 32801
(888) 671-4091
www.billnelson.senate.gov/

The Honorable Marco Rubio
201 South Orange Avenue, Suite 350
Orlando, Florida 32801
(407) 254-2573

Thank you again for taking the time to contact Governor Scott. For information about the Governor’s initiatives, please visit our website at www.flgov.com.

Sincerely,

Rex T. Newman

I always call and leave a message with my Congresscritters' aides. At least then you get to talk to a real person and get some sense from their office staff if the Congressperson is aware of a given issue. If you say to an aide, "I'm concerned about X. Have you heard of it?" If they say yes, then that means the Congressperson has probably heard of it at least once. If not, then educate them.
