Dear Rep. Cantor:

Please know that we in the seventh district are optimistic that you will have the courage to accept no deals whatsoever that will allow the debt ceiling to be raised. We understand fully that failure to raise the debt ceiling will not automatically lead to default, as is being sold by much of the media and many of your colleagues on both sides of the aisle. We know, too, that continuing on our present course, even in the medium term, is simply untenable.

Experience tells us Republican politicians can be reliably counted on to fail. Given the dishonest assumptions in Cut, Cap & Balance, we have no cause to hope for more now, and must be prepared for a debt ceiling increase, followed shortly thereafter by an increase in our taxes, and eventually, austerity measures a la Greece.

Clearly, we know where our nation is headed. If you please, Sir, serve your Public.
