The upshot: Despite how rotten things have sometimes been in the last 50 some-odd years, events have actually been in a relatively quiet interlude viewed against the longer timeline of world history. When that is realized and taken into consideration, you come the inescapable conclusion that the pendulum will swing back the other direction in a brutal sense that will make the last 50 years have no relevance at all. When you're done reading, you realize just HOW out of control the Middle East, Iran, nukes, etc, etc, can and likely will get when history plays out like it usually does in the end.
