Gamma Posts: 5554 Incept: 2008-01-20 Northern CA	Just another opinion: The afternoon can be a good time IF you are positioned going into the afternoon. My view is that: The bulk of the market's movement is established or "launched" if you will, by the opening gap or the opening futures offset from fair value. It is true that afternoon is sort of its own trading session, and obviously every day is different and nobody can predict the future... But if you open up your browser onto the market in the afternoon and that is the effective "start" of your trading day, I think that is a less than desirable situation. The energy of the open is largely expended. It's kind of like a guitar strong that has been plucked and you're coming in a second or two or three after the initial attack of the note. You're kind of missing the flavor of the initial attack of the [real] open. The afternoons tend to be good when the mornings are whack-downs. Lately, there have been nice recoveries in the PM session. But on mildly trending days, I think a PM start is probably statistically disadvantaged. Just another opinion. ---------- This stuff we're going through, this is nothing compared to the Middle Ages.
