The SCOTUS decisions on Arizona's 1070 legislation and Obamacare are imminent. 'Fast and Furious' will get brushed aside and we'll be lucky to find a 2 paragraph article on Page 12 of the local newspaper about it going forward. There will be secret negotiations between the republicans and the AG/White House and it will be deemed to sensitive to national security to divulge to the general public. Holder will step down next January to spend more time with the family.

This is election year for every single member of the House of Representatives. Boehner stuck his neck out when he allowed the committee to take up the contempt matter. One third of the senators are up for re-election. The stench from Watergate did not exactly help Gerald Ford in 1976. I doubt that contempt hearings will be quietly be yawned away, especially since Obama just sauntered onto the rodent glue board.

Gerald Ford was Nixon's VP; hardly equivalent to the H of R voting contempt.

As far as I can tell there is no such thing as executive privilege, only presidential privilege.
