Two teenage males sexually assaulted her while she was passed out. They took pictures and later showed them to their buddies. The moron in a black robe barred this young woman from talking about what happened to her. The "judge" also attempted to conceal the identities of the attackers.

Savannah Dietrich refused to accept the edict and Tweeted the criminals' names. She essentially dared the judge to throw her in prison for contempt.

Either someone is breaking a law, or they are not. You're rules of decorum are not "laws."

They were probably underage. If so the worse irony is that she could be held civilly liable by the attackers. Still glad she did it and I would vote not-guilty on her trial.

What's the f-ing point of these underage laws? I've seen zero evidence they do anything but hide the record of younger criminals from their victims.

It was a plea deal. The girl never got her day in court. Where the heck was the prosecutor? He was supposed to work to see that justice was served. Did her parents agree to this deal since she was a minor?

If the cornerstone of therapy is for the patient to "talk it out", how is this assault supposed to be worked out emotionally?

Getting drunk to the point of passing out was stupid and dangerous. Raping an unconscious female was predatory and criminal. Not justifying the drunken state, but definitely condemning the actions of the boys and the judge and the prosecutor.

the kids probably are well connected to the community that helps people like the judge get elected and revealing their names would harm their chances of getting in to the Armed Forces, the Police Academy, a Teaching position or into a good Ivy League school

Apparently (from another site I visited last night), the yokels are claiming that the prosecutor & the judge were contributors to the high school sports teams & conspired with the rich parents to try to cover this up. The boys had college aspirations & one wanted to be a doctor. Now the whole world is finding out (good). Alot are calling for state/federal investigations into the conduct of the judge and the prosecutors office.

17 years old? I'm guessing the guys are probably in the same age range...lucky for them I guess, they live in the only country in the world that still considers them 'underage'.
