RECALL STATE USA
I hope this puts WF down for good. Oh they will drag it out but in the end they need to get what is coming to them.

BS if they followed the rules he could have had CORBA but it appears WF delayed that. WF should pay big time.

Surgery was eventually paid for by charitable donations. Gonzalez’s lawyer, Jack Scarola, called Wells Fargo’s decision “a case of heart versus pocketbook.”
The little girl’s surgery at Sloan Kettering was eventually paid for through charitable donations, Scarola said. “Because of federal patient privacy issues, we cannot comment on this specific case,” the hospital said in a statement.
“But know that Memorial Sloan-Kettering would never, ever abandon a child who needs our care.”
2. The dad is*****ed and looking for a proximate payday that distorts the CAUSE and EFFECT of his daughter's illness. The actual bad actor is the insurance company ... but the dad is too stupid with rage to understand that Wells Fargo can't be culpable here.
3. "The Young Turks" are idiots who don't understand the real problems with our medical/insurance system and think that Obamacare/Single Payer would solve everything ... assuming that we re-institute SLAVERY as an acceptable law of the land ... Obamacare/Single Payer will be just fine as every doctor in America would be a SLAVE to every other citizen because they would not be performing their labor through free association and we'd essentially be eliminating our system of contract law ... but don't let that get in the way of the narrative ...
Wells Fargo still sucks for so many other reasons, however the video above is so far off-base in logic, reason, and factual accuracy

Did the girl get the surgery 7 months after it was originally scheduled? If so, that wait could have very easily decreased the odds of her survival. I'm curious to know what exactly she had & what her odds were if she had had he surgery as scheduled?

Irish, I think you're forgetting how the father was fired...for not filling out a timesheet correctly ? Really ?
If his timesheet-filling-out skills were so bad, I'm sure the guy would have screwed up in a number of other ways too...but that apparently wasn't the case.

And a 7-month delay is not trivial when you're talking about cancer.
In addition to the ironic timing of the firing and the questionable reasoning, WF completely ****ed the pooch with COBRA.
I don't dispute that Young Turks think a socialist solution is the answer, but their position is irrelevant to the acts of WF. Why did I know that someone would ignore my warning to ignore the partisan slant of the presenters?

I don't give a crap about the Young Turks ... except that they left key facts out of their reporting ...
THE GIRL DIED 7 MONTHS AFTER THE SURGERY ... Read the link I posted ... she had the surgery ... not 7 MONTHS later. SHE DIED 7 MONTHS AFTER THE SURGERY. Reading for comprehension is as important as reading for speed ...
She had cancer since 2008 ... she got the surgery in 2010. She was already dying ...
Playing loose with facts isn't partisan. It's called lying and its wrong regardless of political affiliation.
This is as bad as blaming Mitt Romney for some guy's wife's death ... 6 years after Romney left the company. Of course, the video brings up this same bull**** story to make their case ... leaving out key timelines and facts ...

Yes, Irish, reading comprehension IS very important. Would you mind, for us idiots, to point out in your link where Mackenzie died 7 months after the surgery? Because I don't see it? And linked to your link was this:
"The hospital immediately canceled the August 2010 surgery after the man lost his job. Seven months later, the young girl died of cancer"
I can't find any mention of the date of her surgery. She died 3-2-11 & if the articles are correct, dad was fired around September of 2010. From some vids on youtube, I think she might have had the surgery sometime in December, but that is just a guess. Maybe you can find when she had the surgery?

Well we are home after a last minute, 20 hour trip to Sloan Kettering in NYC. We were VERY surprised to learn that Kenzie is NOT a surgical candidate at this time.
The surgeon put up her July 20th lung scan and her Aug 13th scan side by side on the monitor, showing us a fluffy spot in the lung that in a matter of 3 weeks time had grown. He said she had progressive disease. The August scan clearly showed MANY little white spots (cancer nodules) but to me looked EXACTLY as it has for many months, like someone splattered white paint on her lung scan. The July scan had a giant bubble taking up the bottom half of the screen and showed ONLY the ONE fluffy nodule attached to the wall of the lung. I couldn’t understand where all the other multiple lung nodules were in that photo because they absolutely were not there. The surgeon seemed to be of the position that they had all “just” appeared in the last 3 weeks. It really made no difference at that point, we understood it wasn’t wise to operate. But…we had some questions still.
Read the bold part ... that's the point that Wells Fargo's lawyers will use to throw this frivolous case out on its arse ...
Evidently Sloan Kettering and the surgeon were in cahoots with Wells Fargo to keep this little girl from having surgery, trying to make sure she died ...
THE TRUTH HAS NO AGENDA
Read through her entire journal that the father left out there ... she never lost treatment throughout her life ... she simply was dying and he is angry ...
Wells Fargo sucks ,no doubt, but they are not responsible for the death of this man's little girl ...

I don't know enough about how the lack of insurance impacted her life and treatment plan to comment on that, but I'd have to say I'd be pretty surprised to find out wells wasn't self-insured with united simply managing the plan. The asking health related questions, then terminating in what smacks of pretextual reasons, & finally not sending cobra docs in a timely manner seems pretty suspicious, especially if they are self-insured. All in all pretty enlightening, thanks for sharing.

Irish, I don't think the surgery should have been done either. I read some of the medical stuff & watched the vids on youtube. If it had been my child, I would have just kept her at home & spent as much time with her as I could. After reading your link 4 times & looking for other links, I just didn't see where she died 7 months after her surgery.
And since you addressed your post to "steph and others" & since I had posted on this thread, I think I can reasonably assume that you were including me in the "others".
And thanks for the link to the blog. It looks like the surgery was performed in late December...about 3 months after originally scheduled? I didn't read the whole thing...too depressing.
Added...I just went through and read parts of his blog. He was fired on 8-3-10. But it looks to me like there was no surgery scheduled. Several days before, the family was on a cancer retreat & on 8-7, someone (dad?) was in Venezuela picking up meds for Mck. No mention of Mck receiving any medical treatment from about 7-23 to 8-12.
So the whole "he was fired 3 days before the scheduled surgery" was pretty much bunk.
