I just spoke with Senator Schumer's office begging him to vote "no" (yeah I know it was a lost cause, but I had to do it). This time I used a different spin: I said: "yesterday China aligned itself with Saudi Arabia, today wiith Russia - we have no way to FUND this package...I plead with him to vote NO." The aide was pleasant enough and took all my info, etc. So I asked him what the ratio of calls coming in were. He said about 50-50 for and against. I called Sen. Gillibrand's office too - used the no tax relief for middle-class, frightening health cared - not really a stimulus at all approach. I ended with how disappointed I am with her.
