They take the county records and segregate them into three categories. Documents with a legal descriptions are posted to the subdivision or apn. Assignments sub/t's and recons are posted to the document number of the deed of trust/mortgage. Liens and judgments are posted to your name. The county recorders site should be up to date but changing the assessor's records can get a backlog. When title companies record they get same day recording. Documents that are sent to the recorders office can wait weeks to be recorded. They are picky and many documents that are mailed in are sent back for correction. If you get a property profile from a title company it should have the NOD and the Notice of Sale. You can call the automated phone number on the NOS and find out if the property went to sale. 2012-05-02 18:22:11
