EXCELLENT. Very well done. :)

I particularly noticed how you didn't dive into numbers heavily but stuck to a more (gag) MSM type presentation. That will probably increase your credibility with them. You can always whip out the numbers and the math when it's unexpected to show the public, not the media, that there's some serious bull**** going on WITHOUT resorting to emotional tripe to get your point across like DK and others do.

Something that might be useful in the future when referring to his whole "hope" theory of investing...

Point out how well hope helped everybody's 401k from sept of last year through march of this year. His response, of course, will be to point out the 50% gain since. I'm sure your response to that is obvious and since he's obviously not a numbers guy it probably won't occur to him that you're leading him into a trap. :) .

"Always with the negative vibes" - Moriarity, Kelly's Heros.

Karl, you've got the perfect opportunity to turn the table on them, (if you want to play their kindergarten games), by letting them know what would make you happy.

Problem is I don't think you can talk about Bubba's future cell mates on the MSM.

Math rules.

I really want to see the look on Kneale's face, as we go into the 10 year cycle low. What just happened, occurred on the up phase of the 10 year cycle.
The down phase is yet to come. The other shoe has yet to drop. The washout lies ahead.

Ding Ding Ding you are correct Karl. We have not had "prosperity" no more than if I take a credit card and go buy junk with it and calling it "prosperity" its all done on credit and inflation. How can you have prosperity when you dont produce anything. How do you have prosperity by selling financial products and pushing paper. Prosperity comes from production. We dont produce anything anymore. We are lucky the Communists and Arab Monarchies continue to lend us money otherwise the American economy wouldnt exist at all. I await for someone to debate you on this issue. Nice job.

Edit to add: Oh and a middle class is good for prosperity also :)

Well said KD, and it didn't take the alleged 9 minutes Beaker said you'd need as a minimum to make your case.

I'm beginning to suspect that our Beaker is a well planned disingenuous conduit to showcase your points so that the politicians can prepare the sheeple for the inevitable.

He may think you're wrong but he could very quickly reverse direction(although all it takes is an apology in public and he has no shame so it wouldn't be much for him).

The next evidence should be some sort of distancing and/or slight deviation in direction between Geithner/Bernanke and the President to provide him some sort of political cover. He's already trumpeting savings.

Karl, congratulations on the award, you ARE a Hero of Capitalism!

Awesome job on the response.

Dennis Kneale will be proven wrong in the end. I am glad to see that he is promoting the Market Ticker, because now even more people will read it and realize what is actually going in our country.

Maybe it's just me, but I got the sense that the puppet was trying to convey a message to the audience without the puppet master noticing. Why patronize Karl - or any blogger for that matter - unless you want your audience to pay attention to them?

If you have another chance to get on his show, you need to ask this idiot:

Dennis, do you really believe the recession has ended and that we are moving back to a growth economy?

Dennis: Of course. I am always right

Karl: Then Dennis, since we are no longer in danger of recession, then why does the Fed have to guarantee the debts of all these banks, maintain the 23A exemptions and allow the banks to run two sets of books?

Dennis: GO TO COMMERCIAL...................

KD,

You should add financial sector profits and wall street pay in a second version of that chart to show just how much the vampire squid has grown and sucked away from the rest of us during this time of false prosperity. I bet those have kept pace with Federal if not exceeded it.

Karl, you should also pull out for Beaker that GDP growth per dollar of debt chart from one of your blog entries from some time ago, the one that shows the rapidly diminishing returns.

And when the market eventually crashes again, you should make him _EAT_ that segment.

If the chart of consumer debt is frightening, a chart of government debt should be truly soul-scarifying. How is it possible for anyone to believe it could ever be paid off?

KD,

I have to ask......why in the heck would you engage with this twit.

He has nothing to offer in the on going problems that face America.

I suggest you treat him as he deserves......A nothing.

Maybe another approach could be to take the Nixon approach.

And that is......it's better to have him inside the tent ****ing out.....than to have him outside the tent ****ing in.

KD, in my view your nation faces huge problems and I don't agree with your view that America is f**ked but the rest of the world is f**ked more.

JMHO.

Keep up your work because what you are advocating is perhaps the only way that America will avoid total melt down.

Good luck.......and god bless
