I have researched this topic pretty extensively.

I will say that the more I research, the more I get upset.

I have several eyewitness accounts as well as theories backed by physics that make me believe what I believe.

In any account, I always enjoy your commentary.

If we don't hear both sides, we can never use unbiased logic to form our own opinions.

It's very similar to finances in that, sorting the information has now become the issue.

While both sides represent their story, the real expertise is in the ability to sort, keep and discard the mass of info available.

Karl, I agree with 99% of your posts but what do you know about structural damage?? Look at the way it building 7 fell, it had nothing to do with the other 2 buildings. To assume thousands of people had knowledge is another stupid assumption.

You made the best observation I've seen in a while actually Karl. The real verifiable conspiracy is right freaking in front of us, right now. No one seems to care about that though, oh no, no they want to speculate on a matter near a decade past. WTF?

I'll give you some truth. Our country is getting debt ****d in broad daylight, and the cops and leaders are watching/facilitating. The consequences are unfathomable (which is why I read the ticker) but surely horrific. If that's not enough to fill the mind of someone looking for a conspiracy I don't know what to tell you.

One other thing I've noticed, the only people who still bring up 9/11 are people who have an agenda.

Re building 7- One my clearest memories of that day is watching the live announcement that this building had collapsed. The announcer noted that the collapse was expected since the Fire Dept had not fought the fire in the building due to severe structural damage and a large fire fueled by a tank of diesel fuel in the building intended to feed an emergency generator.

So I find it especially moronic that people claim somehow it was deliberately demolished to hide something or other.

I'll be sure to ignore anything Mr Willie has to say in the future since his moronic troofer claims have exposed him as a nitwit.

Karl, You don't believe a word the government says about the economy, why do you so readily believe their account of 9/11? I myself have chosen to not believe what the government tells us unless I can prove it true. The alternative being believing everything they say unless it can be proven false.

I too was in the conspiracy guys are all nuts. That is until I really started examining the "truther" arguments in greater detail. What really converted me to the tin side tho was doing some basic physics calculations on material that was horizontally ejected from the top of the towers during collapse. Do the math and you will see as I did. After all, as you say the math is never wrong.

In closing, I would just like to point out that you and Jim, regardless of your differing opinions, are really on the same team at the end of the day. This is not productive.

You know how people attending the teabag protests feel when they get grouped in with nazi's and other outrageous bull**** in the news? Some people have a psychological need to find conspiracies. It must simplify one’s thinking to be able to explain the complicated world with a theory that one small group runs the world. Hitler, of course, was the prime example of a murderous evil person with a conspiracy theory that Jews ran the world. Many modern day conspiracy folks are jewish haters also. The other thing about conspiracy believers is that they think that they are smarter than the rest of us because they have “the secret code” that the rest of us don’t have.

Have people ever listened to that national talk radio that runs after midnight? I was driving on the highway this summer late at night and there was indeed a man being interviewed on this show that has devoted his life into “proving” that we never did land on the Moon. The odd thing about these folks is that they can be well spoken and honestly sincere about their conspiracy beliefs. (In this case, I said to my wife: “if we faked the Moon landing, why didn’t our Soviet Union enemies tell the world that we were faking?)

I followed your link; it’s not a surprise that this guy is a gold bug. It seems clear that very many gold bugs are “one note” conspiracy guys that blame the government etc. every time the price of gold goes down – I guess that every time the price of gold goes up it is a normal natural thing.

My other observation is that it is easy and SAFE to blame everything on the US Government. As much as they see a government conspiracy, they in their hearts know that our government is largely incompetent and that they have little to actually fear. On the other hand, if someone takes a strong stand against Muslim extremists with cartons for example, now you are really staring to risk your safety. I would make the same statement about left wing demonstrators at the Republican convention, G-8 etc. They have nothing to fear in from western governments. They can feel morally superior with no risk to their safety.

Honestly, how can we expect intelligent discussion if anyone attempting to present counter arguments to an article is banned from posting?
