Just a matter of time before the markets reflect the truth that the CEOs already know, right Gen?

There are alot of reasons insiders sell - especially now in the last month of 2009 with higher tax rates for at least the next 4 years.

However, it is such a lopsided figure that something is up (or soon to be down).

I take this as a HUGE warning bell.

Lying is an integral part of a CEO' job description.

Meanwhile, President Present is going to try to "spend our way out of recession" (because the last "stimulus" package was soooooooooooooooooo effective, right?). So it looks like BBPrinting.gov is going to have some more work to do as Barry O and the CONgress plans to spend more money we don't have to continue to do things that don't work, have never worked, and cannot possibly work even if enacted "perfectly".

So you tell me - why does Barry need to "spend our way out of recession" if Happy Days Are Here Again? Eh?

Oy.

This whole annualizing is real bull****. Have you seen times in the past when the media doesn't annualize, so that it fits a more bullish story?

As Gen points out insider trading figures were lopsided in August. That's not end of the year tax shenanigans.

Yessir, she runs great! Gotta brand new motor, courtesy of Hank and Bennie-Boy. Water in the oil? Why that's a new-fangled inovation. It makes her run cooler. And those tires, they aren't bald. Slick like that you get more rubber on the road, which means more traction, for you, the investor. Rust you say? That's not rust. That's this vehicle doing its part to remove free oxygen atoms from the air. Global warming and all. The color is red, but inside she's a green machine. Speaking of green...

CEOs LIE, just as everyone lies

Their usually proficient at it. The top liar.

Once had a VP that told the staff to work weekends to finish engineering the product. In the meantime he left for another company. He claimed all was well.
He became a top officer of another company.
Shortly after he left the product development was canceled and the people were let go.

In the corporate world the first to depart with the sinking ship with the lifeboat (golden parachute) is the CEO.

Why should these CEOs do anything but lie, if the President can get away with it what the heck?

On a positive note, television sales should go through the roof after President Obama's job speech this morning. Why an increase in sales? To replace all of the screens broken by folks throwing rocks at it.

Great ticker KD.

While we're working on the transparency bit, please add that there's no reason for insider sales data to be not publicly visible to J6P and the average small investor within minutes of the transaction becoming finalized.

I love the insider selling to buying statistics. Kudos to people like you and Tyler Durden (Zero Hedge) who are raising this warning signal. I keep trying to think of alternative excuses for the selling/buying imbalance. But at the end of the day, there are only so many explanations that I can come up with why CEOs seem to prefer cash (or whatever assets they're buying with the cash) rather than holding wealth in their businesses.

I'm not sure what kind of leading indicator this is. But it sure as hell is pertinent.

I second the request to try and figure out what these numbers were week by week since the summer of 2008.
